The article compares the frequency of use between Anesthesiologists and Emergency Physicians for patients who have undergone trauma s adults. The anesthetic departments were most likely to approve the procedure as emergency physicians were more skeptical of the procedure. The study conducted at Temple University and Hospital resulted to observation of the patients under the two departments. The study only observed patients who underwent intubations without other forms of intervention including retrograde intubation, fiber optic, lighted stylet, laryngoscopy, or laryngeal mask airway. Under adequate supervision the success rates between the Emergency and Anesthesia department is no different. Hence, emergency physicians ought to be encouraged to carry out the procedure where necessary.

This case report looks into ways in which to minimize patient’s ventilation problem during endotracheal intubation. The traditional approach normally involves breathing patients which is appropriate for even inexperienced practitioners. Nonetheless, the procedure could be difficult if there is no spontaneous breathing when the procedure is being carried out and the difficulty of the procedure may be undetected before the application of anesthesia. Thus, the case report proposed another way to carry out the procedure in a case study of five patients. The study concluded that the easiest way to where the device was able to pass through the trachea without causing any bleeding among the patients. The device allows ventilation in patients after using removing the suction catheter and joining ventilation bag to the tube connection.

The article recognizes that tracheal intubation could be a difficult task, the use of laryngeal masks has been a common practice to overcome this challenge. Nonetheless, when the airways are secured by these masks it is advisable to use other mechanisms including the see through bougie. They conducted a test on the effectiveness of the device on thirty patients by use of anesthesia, laryngeal and the see through bougie. The procedure involved slipping the bougie to the bronchoscope and then withdrawing both the bronchoscope and laryngeal mask, pushing the endotracheal tube forward and then adjustment took place. In essence, vocal cords could be seen and monitored in 29 of the patients.
