Question one: Who am I as a leader…of Dell now going private?
Introduction
My decision to go private after being a leader of Dell for many years has been informed by my desire to expand career expectations. The leadership skills that I have gained from Dell will be very helpful in my new venture. I will explain my decision based on the Strategic Management Analytical Paradigm,
Method
Before deciding to become private, I did thorough research on the possible options I had and how each of them would affect me. I sought guidance from other people who have ever ventured into private business to find out how they had managed their transition. The encouragement I got from my friends gave me hope of sticking to my decision until it was accomplished.
Results
To be successful in the private, it is vital to have clear objectives based on my experience as a manager in Dell (Witcher & Chau, 2010). There is therefore need to have a mission, vision, and a broad strategy that will assist me to become a successful private investor.

Acquire the right skills of a competent entrepreneur with experience developed through practical business engagements in order to cope with the challenges in the private sector.
SWOT
Before engaging in private business it will be paramount to assess my strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that will be instrumental in the achievement of my mission and vision (Witcher & Chau, 2010). The analysis will help me in applying my strengths as a private investor while being cautious of the possible weaknesses and threats that might hinder my success.
Strengths
I have been a manager at Dell for many years and have held leadership positions that require making important decisions for the organizations. The management and leadership skills I gained from Dell will be utilized in the private sector. I am also a team player, confident, foresighted, creative, and have good interpersonal relationship skills. My creativity will be significant in the development of practical ideas in the business world.
Weakness
During my duration as a leader in Dell, I realized that I have a weakness of being too ambitious. This may affect me in the private sector if I do not improve on it but I have decided to be more cautious in my decisions. In addition, I tend to be too strict at times to an extent of intimidating my subordinates. I am however trying my best to be more flexible as this will help me work with people from different backgrounds.
