Describe the local model of government and identify some of the major representatives of this area
The local government of California is divided into counties, cities, and special purpose district. Counties have aided in areas such as health, water conversation, and agriculture. County government is of significance to the rural areas. A county has a role of giving services to the public within its region. Each county has its own supervisors comprising of five members. The member must be a registered voter, and a resident of that district (Lewis, 1998).
