Macbeth and Eminem are both afraid of achieving their goal though they know they have the potential. Macbeth in Act I scene iii wonders whether he will become a king as the witches had predicted. This shows how afraid and nervous he is to be king. The witches have faith in him and have even foreseen him leading the land in the future (Leggatt, 2006). Eminem portrays the same fear in the lyrics of his song Lose Yourself. He begins by posing a question. He anonymously asks whether you will use well the only chance you get to seize everything you ever wanted. He goes ahead in the verses to talk about a young man who has one chance to show what he can do in music. This is the only chance he has to prove himself, but he is very nervous (Eminem, 2002). He even forgets his lines. Macbeth and Eminem, therefore, are both nervous in seizing the only chances they have in life.
