There are several complications that are associated by multiple medications (polyphamarcy), physical disability and poor quality of life and the risk of drug events that are adverse tends to be relatively high with such factors coming to play. Forman & Wenger (2013) advice that it is therefore imperative to progressively look into ways of caring for aging patients such as Mr. P while at the same time establishing more effective care patterns for those affected such as the immediate family, in this case, Mrs. P, his wife. Another important point to consider is the verbalization of Mrs. P`s sentiments regarding her misfortune. There are two situations here, a case of an aging man who has lost hope in life with pain overwhelming him, and that of a loving wife who seems so helpless and seems to have given up hope but glued to the husband out of sheer love. The approach to care here should ensure that whatever the solution is, the wife should be in the picture at almost all times - if only for the wellness of the partners moral.
