Patient centered care has become the major healthcare objective in the current generation. The organization of the program has prioritized the patient, rather than the healthcare personnel. Policies and programs have been set up to maximize on the preference of the patients in regards to receiving medical care (Bellon, De, & De, 2008). The organization of the program focuses on the roles of the healthcare team and the patients in ensuing optimal treatment and eventual efficacy of the practice. The staff are vital in ensuring that there is effective communication with patients, personalization of care, and continuity of the care. The program should also promote family involvement in the treatment process, hence promoting effectiveness (Shaller, 2007).
A variety of internal and external factors were considered in the transformation of the healthcare. The internal factors range from the management, healthcare visions, the staff, and the measurement of feedback.
