PSEUDOSCIENCE
Pseudoscience is a belief, a claim or practice that is presented as scientific but it does not adhere to a valid scientific methodology. In other terms, it is referred to as fringe or alternative science. Normally, pseudoscience lacks plausibility or supporting evidence and therefore because it lacks scientific status, it cannot be tested reliably. Pseudoscience is normally characterized by the use of exaggerated and unproven claims which are vague and it over relies on confirmation other than attempts of refutation. Because pseudoscience lacks the openness to be evaluated by the other experts, it therefore lacks the absence to be able to rationally develop theories through the use of systematic processes.
