With the devastating effects of the Covid 19 scourge in 2020, the conventional restaurant model has demonstrated to be unsustainable in the face of a pandemic, as proven by the closures of numerous restaurants globally. Emerging from the gastronomy sector are new models, frequently offering curated groceries along with dining facilities. The Hong Kong 2021 general F&B trends have been shaped by the consumers` emphasis on sustainable, healthy eating habits, individualized menus, and restaurant food home delivery.
Due to the pandemic, a new trend of restaurant model restructuring emerged in Hong Kong. Conveniently for some restaurants, they already had the intuition to do just that, moving into 2021.
