Social networking has profoundly altered the manner in which we communicate and share information. Challenges are imminent for both children and adults. Parents worry about what these sites expose their children to, and since they cannot do away with them, they should have a presence in their children’s online social network due to various reasons.
The different social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter offer avenues for children to make connections with their friends, family, and even strangers. The level of freedom that comes with their use facilitates unchecked expression and sharing of information, which may be too much for children causing danger.
