Song of Songs Epic Simile
Similes in the Iliad guide in conveying comprehensive images to the audience since imagery is common in epic poetry because of its oral tradition so that a narrative is delivered more garishly. Homer uses them to focus on the renowned domination in war by Greeks. He ultimately idealizes the peaceful life of the Trojan while demonstrating his revulsion for the wild aggression and hostility by the Greeks by pressuring on the combatant custom of Greece but says nothing about the Trojans. In book 3, Homer commences with: "…the Trojans came with cries and the din of war like wildfowl when the long hoarse cries of cranes sweep on against the sky and the great formations flee from the winter`s grim ungodly storm."
Homer initiated the Trojan militia as it guarded Troy as of a Greek attack. The expression means elegance and association. Gantries are clean, huge and elegant suitable for an efficient, hitherto protective army. Many similes have been employed as key characteristics in presenting values and causes of chief characters in a couple of a section in the Iliad. There is the depiction of Agamemnon in his second book and the distinction between Hector and Achilles in 21 and 22 where characters state the progress of the story (Media, 2005).
