Public Speaking Name: Institutional Affiliation Course: Date: Confidence with the material presented The fact that the presenter has been talking of his experience to different audiences around the world has done a lot to present his strength in public speaking. His disability has been a part of him since he was diagnosed with polio, and he has grown each shred of confidence with it. His confidence in himself is unwavering because of the fact that he has learnt to harness his confidence in the face of his unique condition. He exudes confidence as he speaks and even manages to joke about his predicament and current situation. The introduction was catchy and well delivered. The fact that he used a question in white text on a black background gives the impression that he is on a mission to shed light in the dark. It gives an illusion of putting life in black and white - or putting white in black as it were. In a way, the fact that he began with a question captured the attention of the audience. Questions tend to evoke feelings and set individuals thinking (Meisel, 2001). Relation to the audience The president stressed that his lack of limbs does not hinder his ability and zeal to grow and blossom as a human being. He went through the entire speech with lots of optimism and expressed concern that most people have their eyes set on the wrong goals in life.
