The most significant meteorological data during incidents are wind, stability precipitation, along with precipitation. The exposure of any pollutant depends much on either dispersion or the dilution factor of the plume. Short distances give the plume less time to disperse but higher its concentration and vice versa. Exposure also depends on plume centerline which relates with wind direction. Last but not least, depends on the time that one has been in the plume. The best thing to remember is that, dispersion is always random, however, is heavily influenced by the speed and direction of wind. But as time goes by, it becomes normal.
