In relation to this paper, it refers to the application of computers, internet, telecommunication equipments, cell phones, video conferencing and so on. The purpose of technology is to transmit, store, retrieve or manipulate information. In the world of today, technology is like a double-edged sword having both positive and negative effects in people’s daily lives. Though we all use modern technology products, many of us don’t know the downside of using it. Technology development has brought us convenience in very many ways; nonetheless, it is causing negative effects to our present and future generations. Some of these side effects includes: social communicate problems, over relying issue, and lack of opportunities. Whereas the advancing technology are now predominant and seem to be more advanced in the near future, analysts and other experts argue that the advancement of technology will bring with it more harm than good to humanity. Although the internet is presumed to bring people together, it can however, affect the way that people communicate with one another. In today’s society, using technology to communicate has become an inherent part of life. It can greatly reduce the time taken in communication process. Nevertheless, technology could have consequences of reducing person to person interaction. The most common form of communication using technology includes Email. This has been extensively utilized by not just individuals, but organizations. This form of communication is more convenient since there is no need of printing materials or calling for meeting. On the other hand, the majority of people continue to spend a lot of time on the internet rather than on other meaningful projects or activities.
