SUBJECT: SWOT Analysis for Habitat for Humanity
The purpose of this memo is to assess our SWOT analysis and identify two issues indicating that strategic planning is warranted. Our SWOT analysis shows that Habitat for Humanity needs strategic planning to continue with its affordable housing project and transform lives. Findings from surveys have made it apparent that our organization has done a commendable job in providing affordable and decent houses for low-income communities. Based on the analysis, two issues indicate that the organization needs strategic planning. They include delays in decision-making and financial challenges. These issues could negatively affect our operations. They could reduce the organization’s effectiveness, and limit our ability to achieve our goals. For that reason, they must be addressed and resolved. Strategic planning is essential if Habitat for Humanity is to achieve its desired results and identified goals. The housing projects within the NGO can use these goals to create individualized action plans that serve the program's needs while concentrating on the mission and vision. Having a strategic plan can help us evaluate our progress, strengths, and needs.
