Individuals or groups can end or move away from terrorism due to behavioral and psychological factors. Disengagement in terrorism refers to changing roles or leaving a ideological and violent groups such as cults and gangs. First, behavioral change is imminent when one is exposed to information that logically challenges extremist ideologies by listening to counter-narratives and developing alternative perspectives.
