By the completion of this activity you will be able to:
Identify the bioethical issues of stem cell technology, including both the decision making process and appropriate parameters for ethical actions.
And just as clearly valuable is the clear idea that the involvement of embryos will involve ethical questions for many if not all human cultures.
It is important when addressing discussion topics on ethics that you do not take a personal position. Your own opinion should not be apparent in your posts. Likewise your values and your cultural, including religious, heritage should not be revealed in your post.
In fact you may present the opinion of any culture or value system that you choose; it need not be a system that you agree with, it just needs to be an opinion which has been articulated in the published literature

There must be major ethical issues involved that cross nearly all cultures. What are those issues? How can they be sorted out?
Read the assigned materials, and also access 3 articles, which do not need to be peer-reviewed from the Excelsior College Library, or the companion website, www(dot)devbio(dot)com; at least one must come from the EC library.
You need to find detailed support to develop the following essay: Identify the ETHICAL implications of stem cell research on animals (including humans). How are you sorting through the facts and emotions to decide whether or not to support stem cell research?
