The 17 members of agencies of the the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) offers a wider scope of security checks and analysis for the safety of the countries. All these 17 agencies have specific field to handle security matters at the interest of the US but they have related methods of report on and analyze threats to the homeland. Thus, the paper highlights the the criteria used by all the ICs agencies to report and analyses matters security threats as well as discussing the organization of the U.S. Intelligence Community and its role in the national homeland security enterprise.
The IC members communicate issues of security threats through report writing where all the findings concerning threats are documented in detail and filed in a report format. This allows other agencies of security to access then information for further scrutiny and action.
