Biodiversity is present where there is variety of species of plants, animals and microorganisms living in a particular region and time. Due to the difference in variety different species respond differently to the temperature changes. Considering the animals that are available in a particular environment they adapt to temperature changes differently which are either the vertebrates or the invertebrates. The presence of changes in the temperatures leads to development of genes that will help the living organism to handle the fluctuating temperature level in the environment that they are located (Gilbert, 2006).
