I agree with you Ashley that the field of counseling will achieve professional standards which will develop its competencies. Currently, the profession has managed to acquire respect and equality just like other licensed professions in each state (Ziomek‐Daigle & Christensen, 2010, pp. 407-408). Its demand, coupled with the progress of the profession will see the accreditation of counseling education programs, creating a unified profession.
Research as you put it; Emily indeed will help in the development of professional standards of the counseling professions. Currently, different counselors utilize different skills and treatment to treat their patients. However, as researchers continue carrying out studies aimed at establishing evidence-based practices that inform people’s lives, the profession will evolve and in the future adopt similar knowledge and skills (Ziomek‐Daigle & Christensen, 2010, pp. 407-408).

I agree with your observation Ashley that technology will promote the managing and documentation of client information. It will make it accessible to relevant medical staff and the client whenever it is necessary. Also, I see the future of counseling...
