The Future of TV
TV is a classic, metaphorically and practically. For decades, TV has been front and center of home and public entertainment. The broadcasting of shows, programs and news was, prior to TV, a wild imagination TV made a reality. The memories, home gatherings and popular shows, aired at specific prime hours, united millions in a collective consumption and enjoyment of TV. Today, grounds are shifting beneath TV and giving way to new forms of consumption, entertainment, production and distribution. For one, online streaming has come – rapidly – to apparently replace TV as a new medium of programmed offerings. The custom offerings, on demand and sequential, of online streaming run, moreover, in stark contrast to TV's wholesale and pre-programmed offerings.
