What have you done to make your school or your community a better place?

I started tutoring international students who had problem with certain courses at my high school when I was a junior. I tutored math, physics and American literature. I basically just re-teach them, and helped them in understanding the knowledge. One of my friends that i tutored for literature got almost 15 points in his average. And the other student i tutored had 6-8 points increased in his math.
