There was rapid growth in industrialization in the US at the end of 19th century and this continued throughout the Civil War. During the process, there was an improvement in the growth of businesses as human labor was replaced by machines. The industrialization process had great impact on the country’s population. The government also played an important role in the development of industrialization in the country.
Industrialization is the process by which the sectors that are non-industrious like agriculture are transformed into sectors that manufacture services and goods. This process is characterized by use of machines, increased technology, increased growth in economy and effective labor.
Owing to industrialization, there was a rise in the number of big businesses and the value of goods increased. Most people moved to the city in search of jobs in the industries. Investors were able to create new products because of improved technology. Industrialization boosted the economy of US as economic growth increased. There were many business opportunities that came up and this increased the living standards of people. The increase in population led to overcrowding and poor living conditions in the slums. The under privileged were overworked and underpaid in the factories.
