Over the past few years, technology has revolutionized the world. Technology has created social media tools. With all these revolutions, the life of human beings has been made better, easier, and more fun. Further, more social networks have been created. Nowadays people do not have to meet with their friends because there are different social networking sites. One can video chat with friends on social media networks like Instagram. Instagram is a recent social media platform that was launched in 2010. This application is available on mobile applications and desktop sites. When it comes to Instagram to exist means that to post, take, crop, filter, like and comment. Instagram has become extremely popular because people from all walks of life have been able to connect and learn from each other. From my point of view, Instagram has enabled me to connect with people from different part of the world, has taught me how to live, make friends and enjoy my hobbies.
Today, it very important to make friends because friends can assist one another in various ways. Thus connecting and interacting with people is very important. Instagram has allowed me to make new friends. Photo sharing is a feature that I find very interesting on Instagram. This application allows me to have my profile which is either public or private depending on my preference. I can post photos and videos on my profile, follow other users and gain followers in return. Through Instagram, I can stay updated with everything my friends, family members, and mutual friends are doing through their story and photo updates. Instagram has also given me a chance to interact fully with everyone through private messages and comments. The use of hashtags allows me to involve myself on some of the topics that are trending online.
Instagram operates on depiction of self. One thing that I find interesting is the quote the website uses to welcome new users. It states that “Instagram is a fast, beautiful and a fun way of sharing your life with friends and relatives." With this statement, one is assured to make and connect with people across the world. An individual is assured that using this website comes with a lot of fun and happiness. There are discoveries and adventures.
Since Instagram is not a universal search job tool like LinkedIn and other sites, one can also find job opportunities using it. The ability to see photos and posts comments are very important in the marketing and business world. Instagram has assisted me to understand potential employers in the business world. For instance last year I was able to get a job at a cafeteria in New York after I found the post advertised on Instagram. This networking site has made it easy for me to find jobs.
