Boston is a region with dense green forests, and the snow covers the entire area during winter. Since childhood, I grew with interest in studying in an exclusive free from town. I intended to join a high school that has a natural environment setting because I love nature. Therefore, I could not imagine any other school other than East Boston High School. During the admission day, I loved the scenery, as it was my childhood dream to study in this prestigious school. I enjoyed the view of snow on the mountains in Boston. My learning session was perfect throughout my first year. The school consists of various students from all over the country, as well as others from outside the country. It is a public school and all races, such as black, white, and nonwhites study without discrimination (Matthews et al. 100). However, joy turned into hate and discomfort when we were sent home with my colleague due to fee arrears.
On our halfway journey from school, we heard screams from the forest, and we rushed to see what was happening. Due to snow, we could not see much; therefore, we decided to move towards the direction of the screams. We found two men raping a 17-year-old girl, as she was lying in a pool of blood. We had to think of a way to rescue her without getting hurt. Unfortunately, we were all girls, and we feared that the same could happen to us if they knew we were around. A police station was on the far end almost two kilometers from where were, which could risk the life of the poor helpless girl. However, we broke the silence by screaming loud as we can that scared them to run to the dense forest. We rushed her to a nearby hospital after carrying first aid.
Physicians and other healthcare workers tried to interrogate us to find the root of this incident. Since we hardly knew anything, we told them to wait for her to wake up. After a while, the girl narrated how these two men abducted her as they deceived to take her through the forest covered with white snow. After covering some quite distance, they started caressing her whole body, and they carried her to the inner side and then raped her. I was speechless and afraid of the school, as I hated green surrounding and white color, which reminded me of the rape case.
The incident makes me change my mind while in form two, as I switched to a school that was not far away from town. It made me feel more secure due to the presence of people, and the city has its security system to protect ordinary people from attacks.
