Academic performance is an integral part in shaping the lives of any society. These have become the priority of many institutions of higher learning with an objective of developing careers and individual life experiences. Curiosity is not bad neither is it good as per says. They mentioned it killed the cat, and it can kill us or harm us if we are not cautious. As good as it is, if not properly channeled, it can lead us into making some serious errors in our lives. However, when curiosity aims with a real motive, its end results may enrich our lives.
Describe what sparks your intellectual curiosity, and explain how and why it has this effect
Intellectual curiosity is a term mainly used to describe an individual’s desire to invest energy and time into an activity of learning. This concept is believed to be one of the keys to success. When persons are willing to invest the resources of time and energy into something, the process, of learning and gathering new experiences, becomes natural and a part of discovery. This development brings with it a whole new level of knowledge that can transform lives in many aspects. Intellectual curiosity as a key determinant of education drives individuals into exploring and asking more questions for the benefit of their learning. Such individuals are never afraid of challenges that come with new experiences and ideas.
I am focus driven and goal oriented and a believer of achievement. My curiosity is driven vacations I have for technology, with reference to computers and the willingness to learn more on this subject. The curiosity I have in knowing more drives me to investing time, energy and resources available to me for an achievement. Through the use of technology, my desires to pursue a course in computer science have significantly increased. My hunger and curiosity to explore and probe things that do with technology gives me the confidence of performing well. I also believe that the area of my strengths is also a determinant factor that drives the desire I have. I am also thoughtful and eager to learn new things irrespective of how they challenge my already built perception. Finally, I am curious about anything that has a touch of technology, and I believe this gives me the motivation to explore more on this subject.
My curiosity is also sparked by learning new things and concepts. Ever since I was eight years old, I began the journey of discovering new things. I was so curious about new things and through this I explored them. During the period, I came to discover my interests. As I grew older, these interests became part of me, and this created a problem in my family. I turned everything into a learning ground. These aspects have given me the capacity of being industrious and ambitious. I am in a better position to compete in the outside world because of my intelligence and curiosities.
It is also important to mention that my curiosity at times has costed me a great deal. I have seen great things go into ruin out of curiosity. But this is the only avenue of self-discovery.
