Key Take-Aways from Seven Story Exercise and Discussion
What are the main things you learned from the 7 Stories Exercise about yourself relative to your career?
I learned that I am not afraid to go after the things I believe in. I have always known that I am stubborn, but this I assumed is an attitude that everyone possesses. However, while I was doing the 7 Story Exercise and Discussion, I realized that being stubborn comes from my tenacious attitude. In addition, I am very determined and persistent. These attitudes propel me forward and have me working hard to set milestones and attain whichever levels of growth I aspire to achieve. Therefore, I believe that whichever place I will find myself in, I will push myself to greater levels of success.
Furthermore, I learned that I am not a person who is content with stagnation. I want the next challenge as soon as I am done with the current challenge. Therefore, I will fight and push myself further and as hard as I can. Growth is of crucial concern to me. I am not satisfied with the achievements I have had in the past. While these are crucial to me, they function to push me to become better and grow. Even though I work with milestones, I can easily be bored or grow out of liking something. Therefore, whatever I am doing needs to be challenging and offer me the chance to advance. I am afraid of stagnation, and I know how it can affect someone like me who wants to be on the move all the time. Therefore, my career has to give me something to look forward to, or I will be looking for other opportunities.
