Personal Experience
Sometimes women believe that their role is to stay at home, do household responsibilities and take care of children. Sometimes women also need a creative outlet to express themselves and their ideas from what they experience in their daily routines. Some few months ago I was this kind of a woman. After a couple of months ago as I was preparing to attend a seminar, I decided to through the notes that I was supposed to present and something skipped in my mind. It was not that the incident was new to me but a lot of thoughts popped into my mind. Things have little brainpower that allows the subconscious brain to wander. Sometimes words are a mystery. The way people use them. The weird way that people put them together. It made one wonder, how can one word have a lot of meanings?
Words are not normally processed in the brain as a bunch of letters strung together. Words are feelings, nuances, pictures, and images. It was during this period that I discovered that I could write and this was very fulfilling for me because I could be able to express myself in a lot of ways. Life had been challenging back then because I was not able to bond with people because we could barely communicate. People also had a lot of difficulties in relating to my artistic sense and this played a significant barrier to my creative outlet.
Having a creative outlet is very important for one. For example, a creative outlet enables a person to have a meaning of life. Whether this creative outlet is cooking, writing, photography, it gives one a purpose and a meaning in life. When doing these things one feels fulfilled. Additionally, creative outlets make one happy. Pursuing a creative outlet not only reduces stress but it also assists a person to Channel some emotions in the right and healthy manner. When feeling low or happy, one can turn to art or writing to help exert energy.
I am very happy when people reach out to me and tell me that they have read a lot of blog posts and books that I have been publishing. It makes me happy to hear that these blogs assisted them a lot in their lives. Sometimes I find happiness when I find out that the content I created means to a lot to other people out there. Consequently, creative outlets assist a person to learn how to try even after failing to achieve something. When learning something be it swimming or playing the piano, it okay to fail at some point. The process of failing and learning is very important for personal growth. The more one learns, and the more one can overcome failures and challenges. The more experience people have in life, the more courageous they are.
Creative outlets allow people to invest in themselves. People need to commit their energy to do something they like and enjoy doing. The time and commitment that one puts in creative outlets are essential for personal development. With creative outlets, confidence is developed. Creative outlets enable an individual to value oneself and become confident. Life has a lot of questions. Like what career to pick, time to change or when one is going to be happy. For example, writing helped me to...
