If I were to give a presentation about World War II, the three events I would choose would be Poland's German Invasion, the Battle of Britain, and D-Day. Many aspects make the following events significant in World War II. The invasion of Poland was marking the start of the war. After the invasion of Poland, France, and the United Kingdom declared war against Germany. When the German forces broke through Polish defense on the border and advanced through Warsaw, many Jewish and non-Jewish refugees started from the advancing German armies. The main hope was that the Polish army was able to stop the Hitler forces. The German forces managed to overtake Warsaw within a month. This was the main event that marked the beginning of the war, leading to many adverse happenings.
The Battle of Britain was another critical military campaign during World War II. There was a collaboration between the Royal Airforce and the Fleet Air Arm to defend the United Kingdom against German forces' invasion. It is a significant event because it involved the air force only. The duration of the battle is reported to be between 1oth July to 31st October 1940. During this time, the war was raging across Europe, and many of the major parties in the conflict were battling to overcome the other.
