1.NCLB Act should be repealed or reauthorized, since the Act which is in use at the moment, has many demerits than merits, and it also designate students, thus some students compare themselves with other and see as if they are a world apart. The Act should be reauthorized since it emphasizes most on test scores as the crucial measure of a schools performance hence on the other hand, it has narrowed the curriculum.
This bill has mislabeled schools as failures, even if the students in public schools are demonstrating regular intellectual progress. The Act on the other hand, has a law which overly dictatorial and doesn`t allow districts to develop improvement plans which go hand in hand with their needs. The other conditions which makes people demand the reauthorization of the act is discrimination of the teachers which makes teachers happen to be always in a line as they use the performance to determine the effectiveness of the qualified teachers.
2. When it comes to passing of standardized test, it is not feasible to expect 100% of all students to pass the test. According to the parents in the United States, they are against standardized testing since student are only taught on facts and therefore they focus on what will be asked in the test, thus neglect other extra curriculum. The other thing is that not all children are equal and some takes time to develop mentally while others adapt so quickly.
In this case, the government is not considering the nature of a child but what they are doing is just to care for those adopting at a swift rate. For instance, public schools which do not do well are not aided by the government and aids is withdrawn to those children who develops slowly and probably would have done better if given time is not taken care for. For this reason, having expectation of 100% pass by student its not realistic and less amendments are made to the act so as to favor every student.
