Mathematics Experiences
Mathematics has always been one of my favorite subjects throughout my education experience. I have always got good grades in mathematics and maybe that is the reason I love it. My mathematics teachers always liked me because I was a team player. Assisting fellow students who were struggling with mathematical problems was a delight for me. This paper will address my bad and good mathematical experiences and the influence that mathematics has on my life now.
Good Experience
I love solving math equations so much. I find it interesting and fun when I find a solution to a challenging equation. Helping other students who need my assistance in solving math is always a good moment for me. Therefore, for me, math has been generally a good experience for me.
But one best experience I will never forget was when we went for a math contest with other schools and I emerged the best out of 100 students. It was a proud moment for my school but above all, for me. I can never forget the feeling I got when the teacher in charge called out my name and every student was clapping as I approached the dais. The trophy I got is so special too and that has always been the best math experience of my life.
Bad Experience
I knew I was in mathematics because I always got good grades always. I could solve any mathematical equation that a teacher wanted me to solve in class. For this reason, I was very confident in my mathematical abilities. There is no time that I really felt challenged by math until I got to college.
I will never forget when I was in my freshman year and we did a statistics course. In a particular assignment, I got my first D in math. It was a frustrating moment for me. I realized I needed to study math and stop being overconfident. As much as it was a bad moment for me, it was an eye-opening moment as well. I changed my study habits and joined a study group to avoid a repeat of such frustration.
Math Influence in My Life Now
Studying math has a great influence in my life now. Since I love solving challenging math equations, I see that life has complex problems that have simple solutions.
