Title: Mental health impacts among health workers during COVID-19 in a low resource setting: a cross-sectional survey from Nepal.
Hypothesis: Alternative hypothesis was: There is a significant relationship between the medical practitioners’ mental health and low resource setting during COVID-19.
The null hypothesis: There is no statistical relationship between medical practitioners’ mental health and a low resource setting.
Variables:
Anxiety and insomnia were the most notable dependable variables in this study. The independent variables consisted of information that concerning sociocultural and demographic aspects.
Population: The target population under study in this case were the Nepal-based healthcare workers working in the country’s facilities. An online survey was done for a period spanning one month. It was a period during which the cases of covid-19 in the country were rising rapidly, thereby placing healthcare facilities in the country under immense pressure. Health professionals included public health practitioners, doctors, diagnostic personnel, nurses, and pharmacists.
Sample: In this study, 501 health professionals participated in the survey. From this number, around 474 were validated after the remaining were deemed redundant and therefore effectively eliminated from the study.
Sampling method: An online survey was used, from which assessment was made from a cross section of the responses received.
