It is essential to note that the ancient Roman art and architecture has placed a lot of influence in the modern society. Most of the buildings that were constructed in Rome were borrowed by the current society considering the fact that their designs and styles looked more attractive and stronger (Itewi, 2012). Basic columns were constructed out of stone and sand with the more unique columns handmade through the use of chisels, saws, and hammers.
This therefore saw the modern times columns also follow the same approach with them made out of clay and marble (Itewi, 2012). This therefore depicts the fact that the modern city planning approaches can be traced from the Roman architectural concepts and can be depicted in several buildings such as the White House, many buildings in Europe, London and Paris.
The Reasons Why Roads Were Significant to the Roman Republic
Over history, it was determined that the Roman Empire turned out to be influential on the standards of the world, a factor that received prominence. In order to handle and control its vast empires, the Romans realized that they needed good roads that would aid them in sending their armies out, receiving and delivering goods to other cities and transporting people to Rome through an easy approach (Roman Architecture. 2015). Before the road systems, the Romans made use of the waterways and other means of transport in making movements and conducting businesses. The religious leaders were also found of using these roads to spread religion, a factor that depicts the manner in which roads were significant to the Roman Republic.

The Islamic Art may not be viewed as an art of a country but that of a particular people.
