I watched KJ's commentary video regarding language and linguistic diversity in Spanish. I remember pursuing California History three years ago and acquiring adequate historical skills. From this course, I learned something new about Spanish heritage, which caught my attention. I remember the teacher explaining key figures, including Peninsular (Spanish), Mulato (Spanish and African), and Zambo (Indian and African). There is mixed racial background called racial mixture in California due to a change of ethnic identity. KJ referred to San Diego as Saint Diego and Los Angeles as Angel of City (Liddell, 2003).
