Most people at one point in life get tempted to feel superior to others based on culture, religion, or ethnicity. It is very easy for one to hold his/her beliefs to be superior to those of others and as a result end up making value judgments about others; this is what ethnocentrism entails.
My parents belong to a Christian religious background and this is how I have come to observe ethnocentrism.
