In learning about population health, it is essential to understand ways through which to plan for intervention programs and know the health status of the population. Thus, to promote health programs and attain the objectives of population health, it is necessary to point out the role of researching about communicable diseases and the capstone paper. In order to meet the objectives of the course, it was essential to rely on research material and data in advancing knowledge and awareness about population health. It is by research that one is able to collect information on health status and impact of the environment and health choices in influencing the health situation of a community or group. The opportunity to learn shows attainment of the course’s objectives aided by the evaluation process, extending to incorporation of knowledge gained in nursing practice when addressing health concerns of diverse populations.
Examining and understanding the health concerns of diverse population was an essential component of the course. Focusing on this objective helped to plan the most appropriate intervention plans depending on the health status of the population. Carrying out research population health concerns helps to highlight on health matters, and increases awareness on different health concerns. With this regard, I was able to understand that the environmental factors, as well as the treatment procedures available, affect the management of malaria and other tropical diseases. Overall the main focus of intervention programs should be to eliminate the likelihood of infection and reduce infection rates.
Focusing on an intervention program helps to gain knowledge that is applicable for different health populations.
