The world has witnessed various debate activities regarding intelligence where emphasis has always been laid on establishing the gender that is more intelligent than the other. According to Notman & Nadelson (1991), Psychologists have always defined intelligence by dwelling on the components that they believe are essential in determining and portraying an individual as indeed being intelligent. They argue that the intelligence is made up of cognitive abilities that include problem-solving, memory, general knowledge, reasoning, and spatial ability. Baran et al. (2013) observed that these mechanisms are the ones that psychologists and other scientific researchers dwell on when determining the level of intelligence of individuals across genders. It is evident statistically from a number of scientific research activities that men are more intelligent than women since they portray more cognitive abilities than their female counterparts.
The first evidence in support of the fact that men are more intelligent than their female counterparts is embedded in the emotional set-up of the two genders. It is evident that women are more emotional and tend to dwell and get stuck to issues that halt their progress (Rosser, 2008). Studies show that women are less mindful than men thus suggesting that they are less intelligent. Men always tend to push themselves to the limits since their mental set-up is always compromising and organized in an enduring way (Rathus, 2013). It is very rear for men to be turned into weeping animals in case of situations that see tricky. Women are known to break down in tears easily and get irritated more than men when faced with challenges that seem hard for them to bear at that instant. Rathus (2013) observed that women are always afraid of facing the realities exhibited in their environments since they lack the intellectual capability to facilitate the same while men are always called upon to play the roles of problem solvers in the societies thus signaling their intellectual strength.
Men are undisputedly more intelligent basing on the results emerging from the psychometric studies that have been carried out. Rosser (2008) observed that majority of the scholars are convinced that height, which mostly favors men is positively correlated with intelligence. It is evident that men are the tallest human beings on earth compared to women. A close analysis of these two genders reveals that men are comparatively taller than women thus forming the basis for the above argument. Height has a significant impact on intelligence where an increase in height by one inch is likely to increase an individual’s IQ by almost 0.4 points.
