Kant and Ross’ Nonconsequentialism
Nonconsequentialism supports the idea that a morally right act does not necessarily determined by the moral goodness of the consequences alone. Many philosophers who share the same view of being nonconsequentialists doesn’t have the same interpretation of the moral rightness of an act. Some argues that consequences is not the only factor to be considered when identifying if an action is morally right or wrong while others have contrasting views.
Both Emmanuel Kant and David William Ross are nonconsequentialists but have contrasting views on moral rightness of an act and its relation to consequences.
