The government needs to devise stringent measures in the process of attempting to curb environmental contamination. The respective decisions may be so radical that there arises gross ramification on the lives of the stakeholders such as the people and agencies that may be entangled in the release of pollutants into the environment. For instance, there can be a company that offers employment to the surrounding population but yet dispose of the effluent to the environment. The government is encouraged to include the stakeholders in order to ensure that all the parties reach a consensus. Such a move allows for smooth implementation of environmental conservation policies which will foster sustainable growth and mutual coexistence amongst the individual groups involved. The environmental players with particular expertise capacities would be in a position to inject their efforts in order to realize the bigger picture espoused by the government agencies (Politzer, 2019). The social values and other concerns elicited by the general populace are catered to such that conflicts of interests vested by various parties are evaded. The aspect of the government embracing deliberation is essential in resolving issues of competitive values that may emanate out of the government-community interactions. Conflict of interest and internal feuds are some of the likely problems that emerge in the process. The representatives from both parties embroiled in a given environmental predicament are convened and then get to air their grievances such that the contentious issues are addressed and consensus reached that is satisfactory to all.
