Every country has an aspect that changes all the social, political, and economic landscape. According to Doyle (2001), one such is the French revolution, which shoots back to 1787. The event had major causes, the short term, and long term consequences. This essay analyses the significant events that took place during the French revolution, explains the notable participants, and how this event shaped all the possible human landscapes to date.
Causes
The structure of the west had triggered several widespread feelings among the people. A few people owned much of the country's wealth, making the poor live like paupers in their country. As a result, the people who felt oppresses wanted to repossess what they thought was theirs and feel its importance (Doyle, 2001). Some of the issues ailing them included low living standards and health, which increased the poor's high mortality rate. The rich, on the other hand, lived in opulence, at the behest of the poor. They needed a system that would universally lead to equal enjoyment of the country's resources and government provisions.
The demand for proper food also caused an upheaval, with the people demanding to gain more from their lands. This went on for a while, as gold and other minerals were discovered. Most of the natives wished that this was used for the country's benefit, thereby seeking the best way to block the political class. The collection of all these issues made the population angry, to the extent that no government power could administer and bring in peace before addressing these significant issues.
Key players
The revolution pitted France against Great Britain, with key figures playing roles for each side. Some of the most notable individuals in the fight included Napoleon Bonaparte, Lazarre Carnot, and Luis XVI, among other essential statistics. These people did not fight from one side. Luis XVI was on the administration side when he brought ins several economic policies that never went well with the country. It was not simple for him to stop the revolution, which had eaten into the people's hearts. This was also aligned with the fact that the people had had many intoxicating campaigns against the government. With several people fighting to have a better lifestyle, it only turned against him that he had to give in to the war. He later met his death by a guillotine.

Doyle (2001) adds that every historical change happens from the trigger, the beginning of change, the climax, and the final giving in and giving up. The French revolution also had events that occurred along its time; it was not a one time change. First, with the administration's changes to bring in to their management, the people were angered. Around 1771, there was a famine in France, with Luis XVI on the throne. The same time saw America experience revolutionary civil war.
