Statistics Project Instructions:

For Study 1 - Study 4
First, identify the main variables (IV and DV) for the following four studies from the study description.
Second, identify what type of statistical method was used for each study. For t-test study, please specify whether it is independent or dependent t-test.
Third, summarize the statistical results from the provided content using one paragraph for each study. Please follow APA-style (7th edition!) reporting format for descriptive (e.g., mean, standard deviation, etc.) and inferential statistical results.
For Study 5, please create an APA-style table for the descriptive statistical results from the provided content. Please make sure to include a proper table caption and note (if needed).

1 What was IV?
Because they are the controlled group, the word groups, including classified and non-categorized words, are the independent variable (IV). Thus, the set of words in both categorized and non-categorized terms can be altered, and the recall performance will have no effect on the set of words.
2 What was DV?
This study's dependent variable (DV) is the recall performance of the respondents, which the researchers measure. It depends on the group of words in question, whether they are categorized or uncategorized. Therefore, the mean score for memory performance will vary depending on the categorized and non-categorized words used. In this case, the variable will be different based on the collection of words that need to be memorized.
3 What statistical test was used?
There are two dependent samples in the T-test, and this is the statistical test utilized. First and foremost, the t-test intends to determine whether there is a statistically significant difference between two variables or two categories. To be more specific, the dependent t-test was employed to examine the difference in recall ability between the word groups when only one sample or population was used to gather the data for the study. This group of students provided the recall performance data in both categorized and non-categorized terms, which were combined.
4 Report Study 1 stats results in paragraph:
Results show no statistically significant difference between the recall performance of 19 students under classified conditions (M=0.68, SD=0.07) and non-categorized conditions (M=0.40, SD=0.07) t=9.01 at p 0.001. Thus, data suggest that there is insufficient data to conclude that the recall performance of pupils, when presented with classified and non-categorized terms, differs at the 99.99% level of confidence.
