Case Summary
In the case study, Dorothy narrates how she has been struggling to raise her bipolar child. We see Sadie, who was diagnosed with bipolar disease at the age of 5. The symptoms exhibited through the case study included severe mood swings, impulsivity, hyperactivity, aggressiveness, risky and reckless behaviors, insomnia, depression, and suicidal thoughts. This paper will determine the treatment goals, objectives, and methods of measurement, assessments, required resources, and any missing information that must be gathered. However, the instrument's primary use is measuring the severity of the manic state, and it takes between 10-15 minutes. It is the most preferred tool because of its brevity, universality, and ease of administration. For the patient's case, the scale will be used to screen the severity of the condition.
Assessments
Several assessments must be undertaken to determine whether the child is suffering from bipolar disease. It is important to undertake a physical examination to establish whether any medical conditions lead to the condition. Another important assessment is a psychiatric assessment, which wi...
