Communication is essential for any organization to work toward a shared purpose and achieve success. Examples of an organization include a workplace, a community or religious organization, a volunteer organization, or a family. Some components of effective organizational communication include seeking and responding to feedback, establishing consistent channels of communication, conflict resolution, and crisis planning.

The group's shared purpose was to implement a human resource information system (HRIS) that would centralize human resources and payroll management. The system would support human resource management with details on employee information, but users need to be informed about the need for changes and be trained on its use. The group members were expected to work together before and during the implementation of the HRIS project that required data entry, tracking, and management to support human resources. Centralizing the human resources operations was also one way to improve productivity.
What channels of communication were present in the organization? Were they effective? Why or why not?
The main communication channels are verbal and written communication, where verbal communication helped coordinate with the team members and solve problems. Written communication is easy to preserve where there is a record of the project team members' evidence. While the members were not present when some of the documents were written, they could access the documents at any time.
