This assignment will be discussing a scenario in which a male of 60 years is suffering from the respiratory conditions of excessive dyspnea, sneezing, and coughing. The assignment will discuss the possible diagnosis of the male and what screening should be performed on him to diagnose the condition given his symptoms. Furthermore, the vaccinations that are required by the male for protection purposes while his hospital stay will also be discussed briefly.
1. List some possible diagnoses that account for his symptoms.
There are a number of potential conditions that Mr. Z could have been suffering from considering his symptoms. The more plausible conditions could be Empyema, Bronchitis, Asthma and Pulmonary edema. There are some chances of other conditions as well including Tuberculosis (TB), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and even Lung cancer (Ilowite, 2018).
