Coursework Instructions:

Now that we have used three psychological perspectives to evaluate the causes of our Big Problems, we’re going to consider some solutions. Will discuss how perspectives proposed in the prior week’s discussion might shape solutions we might attempt for our problem. Before starting, be sure to go back and take a look at feedback your peers may have provided, or questions they may have asked that might be helpful digging deeper in to your topic.
Using the same three perspectives you proposed in our Unit Two Discussion, discuss how each might shape the solutions we might attempt for our problem. For example, using the social perspective, we might use our understanding of persuasion theory to construct messages encouraging the public to behave in a certain way. It is not necessary to "pick” a solution at this point. We will be pulling all of our work together in the Unit Five discussion.
One of our Unit Three chapters, Chapter 10, outlines steps for good problem solving. Consider that material and identify how framing your problem and using heuristics might affect your choice of a solution. Define functional fixedness and suggest a way this could apply to your problem. Identify one risk for faulty problem solving relevant to your Big Problem.
As usual, please respond to a minimum of two of your classmates. Ask them challenging questions to encourage them to think more deeply about their solutions and/or provide additional resources they might find useful. Be sure to review the Grading Rubric carefully so you know how I will be evaluating your posts and responses.

The humanistic approach solves problems by forming campaign teams of counselors to discourse how each individual has a unique personality. Changing behavior can be encouraged by cautioning on consequences attached. Harvey and Gumport (2015) believe that the humanistic perspective shapes a solution through the identification of different practices and being able to understand events that lead to certain behaviors.
Behavioral perspective can shape solutions by subjecting individuals or animals into different environments. It bases its resolution on the effects of an environment to people’s behavi...
