The Bible teaches that Jesus was both fully human and God. The importance of this testament cannot be understated since it not only communicates an essential part of the fulfillment of prophecy but also holds salient teachings on the power of God the Father and how Christians should live their lives in obedience to His will.
The humanity of Jesus Christ, often attested to through Christ himself when he referred to himself as the ‘Son of Man’, is important to Christianity since Christ was God’s physical attestation of the Law. After receiving the Ten Commandments from God, Moses imparted them to the Israelites, and over the centuries before the manifestation of the Messiah, Israelites used human understanding to try and adhere fully to those commandments.
