Specifically, a faculty must be proactive in applied research-based activities, effective teaching, learners’ academic guidance, and counseling, committee discussion participation, student curriculum assessments, tracking student performances, registration and appointments, and so forth. All these responsibilities necessitate using relevant tools and systems to process information utilizable by the learning institution to enhance their purposes and, most importantly, help realize the desired goals for students and the school’s broader context. Thus, having a comprehensive academic information system and integrating it into nearly every aspect of the educational setting is crucial since lacking it might imply ineffectiveness or failure of faculty to complete its role sufficiently as required.
The faculty must be concerned about scrutinizing the data present in the academic information systems used. This is critical because the faculty utilizes these systems in significant roles, such as reviewing assessments, analyzing student performances, and recording important data that should never be ignored. When there is no application of these systems in the academic context, it is unlikely to achieve fairness. Recording, planning, and using the information monitored via the systems promotes equality and transparency across the educational facility.
