Determinants of health are the factors that influence the healthy or unhealthy status of people. From a scholar’s perspective, the attributes that influence health status of an individual include different aspects of an individual, social as well as environmental issues that impact on health status of an individual. This can also pertain to biological attributes, which also involves the physical exercises and activities of an individual. Raphael (2016) says that there are numerous determinant attributes which influence how healthy an individual is. For instance, James comes from a region of low income people. To make matters worse, his family is affected by diabetes, but luckily, he eats a lot of fruits and vegetables, which play an instrumental role in reducing how the disease affects people (Healthypeople.gov, 2017).
