As a healthcare leader, I can influence nurse managers to initiate the change project amidst supportive and resistant employees by implementing the brain-centered approach to leading change. First, I would evaluate the change and my managers’ motivation. Employees and managers view change in terms of its implementation timescales and how disruptive it could be to their existing workplace practices. Consequently, I would map out what I’m requesting personnel to do and when, including accurately understanding how both the managers and employees view the change (Andreatta, 2021). In that way, I can influence their views by bringing information concerning the change, and the practice needs to inform change implementation, thus motivate them to embrace the change (Little, Wagner, & Boal, 2018).
