Comparison and Contrast Essay
I have been progressing well in my studies since I joined the University. There were good and bad sides, but more so, I improved. I was an English as a Second Language student. Learning and understanding concepts were tricky at first. I enrolled to study in my third-level studies at the beginning of the spring semester, but now on my fourth. I wish to state a few challenges I had, then compare with what I have achieved at this time. Specifically, this will include the difficulties with language, research, adapting to the school's culture, and focusing forward.
I was worried when I joined the university as I was not a native English speaker. Most studies, research, and writing are in English. It was not comfortable adapting, but the university had an easy way to make us feel at home. Some included learning English to help us adapt faster. I gathered courage and promised myself to study hard. I grasped a few words, improved my reading and understanding, and began writing my essays and assignments better.
