Main Biopsychosocial Perspective Dimensions
The biopsychosocial context is a holistic approach to comprehending human behavior and health. It comprises three primary dimensions (Hunt, 2022). The first dimension includes biological elements like genetics and physical well-being, stressing the role of physiological activities, hormones, and genes in determining a person’s wellness. The second dimension concerns psychological factors like emotions or cognitive processes that shape behavior. Finally, social factors are also a dimension – they recognize the influence of interpersonal connections, cultural values, and socioeconomic on health results, emphasizing the relevance of social support in determining human behavior and health. These dimensions’ interaction helps understand how human health and experiences are complex (Tripathi et al., 2019).
